Estimating Notes & Clarifications
- Multi-task strategy. Mazak Integrex i-200 handles all turning and milling operations in a single clamping for Op 10, eliminating datum transfer error on the sealing face-to-bore concentricity requirement (±0.0006"). Op 20 is a light facing operation only — minimal re-clamping risk.
- Pressure test. Hydrostatic test at PMC facility before shipment (Line 8). Test documentation (pressure chart + cert) ships with each piece. EMR receiving QC can verify test records on receipt without re-testing.
- EDM scope. Sinker EDM (Line 4) covers only the internal flow-control cavities identified on EMR-VB-5500-A, Sheet 3, Detail C. External sharp-corner features are milled in the multi-task op — no additional EDM required.
- Lead time. 12 business days from PO receipt + approved drawings. Includes passivation turnaround (2 days) and pressure test within PMC lead time.
